AUTOMOTIVE DIAGNOSTICS This training program is for both the Auto technicians who want to know about Auto Electrical & Auto Diagnostics and for the none auto technicians who want to become an Auto Diagnostician but not interested in repair

Introduction to Auto Repair

Overview of automotive systems; basic engine operation; automotive tools; key safety issues in your shop.

 

Section 2

Automotive Engine Parts and Operation


The four stages of engine operation; the lower-end assembly; the upper-end assembly; Engine Types, Engine configurations; engine placement and mounting; special engine designs engine performance ratings; factors that affect engine performance.

Lubrication & Cooling System


Lubrication Systems Engine lubrication; lubrication system components; oil types & lubrication system maintenance.

Automotive Cooling Systems Automotive cooling systems; cooling-system components and the flow of coolant; cooling-system maintenance; inspecting & testing a cooling system.

Driveline


Front-wheel drive layout, Front-wheel drive layout, Rear-wheel drive layout, Four-wheel drive layout, All-wheel drive layout, 4WD vs AWD, All-wheel drive transfer case, Transfer case differential action

 

Section 5

Automotive Braking Systems


Automotive brake system tools and safety; friction and hydraulic principles in braking systems; master cylinders and power boosters; disc brake systems; drum brake systems; brake system valve and brake lines.
Antilock Braking Systems
Introduction to antilock braking systems (ABS); ABS system devices; ABS systems; troubleshooting ABS systems.

Steering & suspension


Suspensions Automotive comfort and control; automotive frames; front suspensions—types and functions; rear suspensions—types and functions; automatic adjusting suspension systems. Duration: This is a Two months classroom & workshop practical
based training scheduled for Three days a week & Three hours a day.


Competence

At the end of the training you will come out as competent Auto diagnosticians with the skills to use any modern diagnostic tool to communicate with and retrieve codes from any Onboard Diagnostics Compliant vehicle, be able to interpret the codes retrieved from the vehicle’s computer, use the codes with the vehicles manufacturers' e- repair manuals to fix the vehicle or to design a maintenance and repair work schedule for the technicians who will do the repair work if you are not a trained technician.
